Description |
Beaugnier Paris (LeBlanc) Alto
Sax
NO
RESERVE!!!
Freshly Overhauled. Extremely
Rare!!
Beaugnier
alto sax. Extremely rare. A small
number of saxophones were sold under the Beaugnier name. Freshly overhauled.
Beaugnier
was a small, high quality, saxophone builder located in Paris across the street
from the Selmer factory. It was
owned by LeBlanc. Many saxophones
sold under the LeBlanc label were
actually built by Beaugnier. The
quality, and expense, of building the Beaugnier saxophones was so high that
LeBlanc could not sell them profitably in the marketplace.
This one
is less than cosmetically perfect.
It has a dent on the bottom and one of the posts has been
resoldered. The lacquer has quite a
bit of speckling – I’d say it’s about 80% but you can judge for yourself from
the pictures. The case has a
bit of fraying but is quite serviceable; the clasps are good.
This
saxophone has received a fresh overhaul.
The sound I’d say is a characteristic “French” sound, more like a Selmer
than a Buescher or Conn. All of the pads are brand new and
everything is adjusted. The
instrument plays quite well. You
can own a rare piece of saxophone history for the cost of a used student
horn.
Preferred method of payment
is Paypal. Otherwise, I request a
Money Order or Bank Check. Shipping
and handling in the US contiguous 48 states will be $25.00.
