This is the elusive T-5 model in excellent condition. I keep my eyes
open for this model, but have not even found one since I acquired this
horn 3 years ago. Serial number is 571209 from the old serial number
sequences. I believe this horn is from the early 70's, maybe 1971.
Make no mistake. This is a powerful horn
with easy reach from the bottom to the top. It was torn apart last year
and hand polished and repadded with excellent results. I couldn't ask
for a better playing horn. This has been my personal horn and I am
letting this go because I have to make room in my house... too many
saxes here. I'll probably regret selling it later on, but there you go.
Please note that the silver plating does show wear but is mostly
intact. After the polishing the occasional wear is not very noticeable
unless you look for it. The case is a nice pro-tec wooden case shaped
to the sax and provides wonderful protection..

A quick note for eBayers. I have been selling instruments and musical
accessories for years on eBay using the eBay handle "flaviusnevus"
(formerly "cgconn"). I am no longer doing most of my selling directly
and have engaged a friend, "ddcmom200" to sell instruments on my
behalf. I've been playing clarinet for over 40 years and she studied
the clarinet at Michigan State University. She and I are both committed
to providing the same high level of service and customer satisfaction
which we have provided in the past. We made this arrangement to free up
my time to be better able to acquire desirable pro and vintage
instruments as well to rehabilitate them. Right now we are disposing of
a considerable backlog of instruments and items which need some help
and I can not realistically get to. Such items will be clearly marked
as "AS-IS" to differentiate them from the items we'll be selling which
are already in great playing condition.
QUESTIONS - Please email me with any questions you may have
RESERVES - If you would like to request my reserve price, please take a moment to read my thoughts on Reserves and Bidding first.
RETURNS and REFUNDS - I do guarantee that this item is in the condition as stated in the description. I aim to please and do my best to be flexible with winning bidders. Please read my policy on Returns and Refunds first.
If you find that my description is substantially inaccurate, I will, of
course, refund your purchase price upon the item’s safe return. I do require that you inform me of the deficiencies or your disappointments within 7 days of receiving the item. Please note that I rarely sell brand new items. This
means that even if something is described as “minty” or “excellent” you
may find upon inspection, tiny imperfections or evidence of use. I will not make full or partial refunds for minor insubstantial imperfections. If you insist on only buying items in factory new condition, you should purchase them directly from a licensed retail store.
FRAUD - Please note that as wonderful as eBay is, occasionally someone registers who intends to defraud the seller or buyer. Some geographical locations are notorious for considerable fraudulent attempts. Although
I prefer to make my auction items available throughout the world
without restriction, I will not put myself at unnecessary risk. I will no longer accept bids from Indonesia or from Africa due to recent fraud attempts. If
I suspect that a bidder is acting in a suspicious or fraudulent manner
I will take whatever actions I need to protect my interests. This may
mean that I will cancel a bid and/or report the bidder to eBay.
OTHER AUCTIONS -
SHIPPING
- For this item I am charging a flat rate of $40.00 within the
continental US. This includes shipping, materials, handling and
insurance if the price of the item warrants it. I
do not purchase insurance for any item with a value of less than $20,
since the cost of insurance is NOT worth the cost or trouble involved.
PAYMENT - The winning bidder pays via cashier's check, money order, Bidpay, Paypal, bank wire transfer within 7 days of auction completion . If you intend to pay by means other than cited above, please contact me by email first.
PAYPAL READ
CAREFULLY
- Due to problems I've encountered recently with fraudulent payors, I'm
now extremely selective about whom I allow to pay using paypal. Do NOT
assume that you can pay via paypal unless you contact me first and I
agree to it. I am not willing to accept paypal from US bidders without
a confirmed address and I will not ship to an address other than the
confirmed address in the paypal notice. In general payors must have a
positive feedback rating of at least +10 and be recently active. Generally, I ship via UPS in the US and via USPS for foreign destinations and do my best to be as economical as possible while shipping safely. If you want me to ship to a US location using USPS, I will certainly be willing to do so, but this may increase your shipping cost. Providing me with a shipping address that is a PO box is tantamount to renegotiating the shipping cost. Buyers are responsible for use or sales taxes as determined by the local governing authority
I
hate sounding like an attorney, but experience has taught me the
importance of being clear and up front with the wonderful bidders from
eBay. Thanks for taking the time to check this out.
