Description

Here is a pretty rare Vintage Conn Baritone Sax. It has a silver finish and I am told Gold plated hardware. The horn appears to be pretty clean in the way of dents, there are very few. The horn has sat for a while so it will need to be cleaned and serviced I'm sure. I cleaned a small portion of it and WOW! it came right to life. Its gorgeous, the gold hardware looks great against the silver finish. The stamping on the back reads Union Label with a badge shape stamping and in the badge shape stamping it says " M.P.B., P.I.U.. Under that it says "BAR. 18696,H. I beleive according to the chart I read on the net that it is a 1910 but make sure you check it to be sure. The neck looks real fancy with some scroll design, The metal overall looks to be in such good condition especially for a Baritone, they usually get knocked around alot. It has the original case but it is very weathered, I will use it to ship it in but will leave it up to the new owner as to what to do with it, I suppose it could be restored. THis is got to be one classy horn once it is all cleaned up, it does not look like it was ever abused either it just has some age on it that needs to be wiped away. The curly tubing that the neck connects to is in very nice condition. I am not a player nor an expert on these type instruments but this looks like a beauty.
