You are bidding on an extremely rare fully burnished gold
plate Conn 6m Alto Saxophone. Engraving is more elaborate then the standard
6m, Naked Lady in multiple pentagons and deco Leaf design stretching up and
around the bell. Plating is 95% original, the only areas of wear are the side
key touch points. No dents or evidence of repairs, no resolders. Fully overhauled,
using Lucien Deluxe pads and flat metal resonators, this horn comes ready to
play, but perhaps knowing the history of this horn, it may be more intersting
to collect. Some time in the late 30's or early 40's the Australian Broadcasting
Commission Orchestra, ordered a set of Gold Plated horns from Conn. A lot of
Conn collectors have tried to track the fate of these horns as it comprised
Lady Face, Bass 14m, Baritone 12m, Tenor 10m and Alto 6m, ALL GOLD PLATED. The
first 3 have been placed with collectors through out the world and this is the
