This is a Yanagisawa
Tenor sax that has serial number 70978,xxx which indicates it was made in
the late 1970's. This is a rare version of the T-500 model that has a
SOLID SILVER NECK,BODY, and BELL!! The keywork is lacquered brass. This
instrument has been rarely played but meticulously maintained and is in
magnificent condition. There are NO dents, dings or repairs anywhere to be
found. The lacquered keys have 99% of the original lacquer and the silver
just shows barely perceptible swirling from being polished. Yanagisawa has
always produced high quality professional saxes and this is a marvelous
and beautiful early example of their fine craftsmanship. It features a
high F# key, blue steel springs, engraved bell and domed plastic reso pads
which have lots of life in them. This horn was just adjusted and regulated
