SML, #5003 (1950?), standard alto, does not have rolled tone_holes or rib construction on the stacks, square type G#_C#_B_Bb key touches.  Black stack pearls, low B & Bb pad cups are on the same side as the player.  No strut under the neck.  Good player, 98% original bright silver, tight keywork, sharp pearls, new case.  Normal SML log and address on the bell.  The sax wears our new pads and corks, is now ready to show. $1595 

SML, #5117 (about 1950_1951?), rare alto, rolled tone_holes, 95% original satin silver plate, the bell with Art Deco engraving (not the same as on the Hawkins Special) and “SML Super Luxe” engraving in addition to the normal SML logo and address.  Rib construction for the stacks, chromatic F# and palm keys, rolled tone_holes but no adjusting screws to the stacks.  G#_C#_B_Bb cluster curved like the later “Gold Medal” instruments.  Neck has normal SML strut under it.  Pearl key touches for LH 8va. key.  Additional keywork for high C to D trill, RH G# trill and 1 & 3 forked Eb for the right hand.  Low B & Bb pad cups are away from the player.  Rare alto incorporating some of the features of the later “Gold Medal” sax.  Scheduled for re_pad and mechanical overhaul sometime this summer, should be ready to show in early to mid July. $1975 

SML, #5254 (1950_1952?), standard alto, exactly like #5003, but the bell engraved “SML Standard”, plus logo and address.  Acquired by us with a gaggle of other French saxes, this one’s a clean example that needs to be padded.  Now “on the back burner” ‘cause #5003 is just like and ready today.  Could be made ready in a week or less.  New case, no major damage anywhere. $1595
